Before you donate, please take a moment to read what the library can and can’t use.

Unfortunately, if you donate items we can’t use, they will be thrown away.

Books in good condition for

    • Children
    • Teen
    • Adults

DVDs, CDs & video games

Magazines less than 1 year old

Puzzles and board games in good condition

with all pieces

College textbooks

Books in poor condition, meaning:

    • Yellowed or stained pages
    • Mold or water damage
    • Torn or dog-eared pages
    • Highlighting or underlining
    • Excessive dust
    • Cigarette smoke odor
    • Broken spines

K-12 textbooks or workbooks

Coloring books

Crossword or other puzzle books

Encyclopedias

VHS or Audio Cassettes

Magazines older than 1 year

Time/Life books or Reader’s Digest condensed books

Puzzles or board games in poor condition or with missing pieces

Toys other than puzzles/board games

How to the Recycle Books We Can’t Use

  • Place soft cover books in regular paper recycling.
  • For hard cover books, tear off covers and throw away. Put pages in regular paper recycling.
