Dear Library Patrons,

The library is ready to move into the final stages of its building envelope renovation project! While our space has been disrupted for some time, we are pleased that we have not had to close the library for a single day of normal service due to the construction.

Nevertheless, starting early next week, all public access to the building will be routed through a temporary entrance off of 147th Street while workers renovate our main entrance. We expect this to begin the morning of Tuesday, August 31, but please feel free to call us at (708) 535-2027 to check for updates on the exact date and time.

During the use of the temporary entrance, limited street parking will be available on Kenton Avenue, and our parking lot will be open as usual. Curbside pickup of library materials is available for anyone for whom the walk to the temporary entrance presents a barrier or inconvenience.

We anticipate that our main entrance will reopen--complete with new sliding doors--the week of September 27. Again, please call us for updates on exact details as time goes along.

We appreciate your continued patience and flexibility with our ongoing construction and look forward to later this fall when we can share our newly refurbished building with you!

Wishing you safety and wellness,

Jennifer Cottrill, Library Director
