SCARE UP A GOOD BOOK!

Summer Reading Program 2010

Midlothian Public Library

Participants! Complete your reading goals of 20 points or more to earn a T-Shirt and a party at Haunted Trails. (one T-Shirt per participant)

Ages 2-4

Parents keep your child’s book log updated. No verbal or written book reviews are required, but book logs must be kept current.  It is your responsibility to inform staff when you reach 20 points. See the 2010 point system sheet.

Ages 5-12

Please read age appropriate materials.  See the youth service staff for more information. Verbal book reviews are required for ages 5-12. We don’t need to hear about the entire book. Tell us your favorite part.

Written book Reviews are OPTIONAL this year!

This means that you can choose to just read a book and tell us about it or you can do a short written review along with your verbal one and gain extra points. Written reviews must be submitted on Midlothian Library review forms.

Story Times will be held on Tuesdays at 12:30PM. Participants will receive points for attending story times, but they must submit their names on the day they actually attend.

Arts & Crafts will be held Thursdays at 6PM. Participants will receive points for attendance. They must inform staff of their attendance on the day of the craft activity. Please register in advance for crafts.
